Parent & Child Wellbeing Workshop
A child's brain is still very much under construction, which is why they need our nervous system to help them regulate theirs, this is called co-regulation and is essential for a child to develop a strong mental health. One of the hardest parts of parenting is remaining calm when your child is dysregulated. Sleep deprivation, tantrums, big transitions, busy work schedule, new sibling, moving home, childcare, solo parenting...there are many things that can affect our ability to cope with the challenges of being a parent.
This is a multilayered workshop as it involves showing parents how to nurture their own nervous system as well as showing them how to teach their children.
This one hour workshop includes:
Insight - into a child's brain development and the brain changes you experience as a parent.
Breathwork (parents) - that will help calm and soothe your nervous system, even when the kids are awake.
Breathwork (kids) - I'll show you a simple way to teach children how to connect to their breath. This will be suitable for all ages.
Guided Meditation - to help you identify and release your worries as a parent. This visualisation is also suitable for children
Tapping for Parents - this will help to release any tension held in your body and mind and overcome any anxious, negative thoughts you might be having .
Tapping for Kids - I'll show you a tapping process to use with kids to help them process their emotions.
